Top-10 finish for Tataurangi in Melbourne

The New Zealand golfer Philip Tataurangi had one of the best closing rounds to secure a top-10 finish yesterday at the Moonah Classic in Melbourne.

Tataurangi's 3-under par 69 got him into a tie for 8th - along with the New Zealand number one David Smail, and it was the former PGA tour regular's first top-10 finish on the Nationwide tour for three years following chronic injury problems.

The 29 year old Victorian Alistair Presnell took a huge step towards a PGA tour card with a one stroke victory over Peter O'Malley.

The circuit moves to Christchurch this week for the New Zaland PGA Championship.
