Villa blow chance to put pressure on Arsenal

Fourth-placed Aston Villa threw away a 2-0 lead in the last three minutes to draw 2-2 at home to relegation-threatened Stoke City in English football's Premier League .

The draw leaves Villa six points clear of Arsenal in the race for the fourth Champions League berth and three points adrift of second-placed Chelsea and Liverpool.

The champions Manchester United, are seven points clear at the top with a game in hand while

Arsenal's home draw with Fulham appears to have dented the Gunners' hopes of overtaking Villa.

Stoke remain deep in trouble, dropping to 19th after Blackburn Rovers beat Hull City 2-1 to climb out of the bottom three. moving to 17th on 26 points and ahead of Middlesbrough on goal difference.

West Ham United's 1-0 home win over Manchester City moves the London side up to seventh while Bolton Wanderers, beat Newcastle United by the same score.
