Hurricanes may go for 3 opensiders again

10:42 am on 2 March 2009

There is every chance that the Hurricanes will go with their pacey loose forward trio again after their upset Super 14 win over the Crusaders at the weekend.

Coach Colin Cooper opted for two open side flankers in the match, Karl Lowe and Scott Waldrom and they were well backed up by Rodney So'oialo, who has played at seven for the All Blacks.

After the match Crusaders captain Richie McCaw admitted they'd been outplayed in the loose, and the Hurricanes assistant coach Jonno Phillips says it was a great victory with the three huinting well together and sure to be used again. .

The Hurricanes will welcome back this week their All Black hooker Andrew Hore who's been off the scene since injuring his ankle in Hong Kong late last year.
