A number of New Zealanders will compete in a star-studded World Athletics Tour meeting in Melbourne tonight.
Olympic shot put champion Valerie Vili headlines the New Zealand contingent that also includes James Mortimer in the 200, Michael Aish in the 5000, Stuart Farquhar in the javelin, Monique Williams in the 400 and Beatrice Faumuina in the discus.
There are 5 Olympic champions taking part, along with Jamaican sprinter Asafa Powell who many are hoping will become the first person to break 10 seconds in Australia.
