The Melbourne Tigers have levelled the Australian National Basketball League Grand Final series at 1-1 after beating South Dragons 88-83.

Leading by 14 points midway through the final quarter, the Tigers were swamped late by the Dragons but eventually survived the onslaught to win game two of the best-of-five series at the State Netball Centre.

The Tigers lost the opening match to the Dragons on Wednesday night.

The series moves back across town in Melbourne for the Dragons' second home final.
