David Beckham appears to have won his battle to stay at the Italian football club AC Milan.
A deal to keep the veteran England midfielder at Milan until the end of the season is expected to be signed later today.
Beckham's been on loan in Milan for two months and was due to go back to his American club LA Galaxy next week.
The deal's being described as a timeshare agreement. He'll stay on loan at Milan until June then return to Los Angeles for the remainder of the Major League Soccer season in July.
Once that's over Beckham will return to Milan during the January transfer window next year and play out the rest of Serie A ahead of the World Cup finals.
His goal is to be in Fabio Capello's England squad in the next Northern Hemisphere summer and he's agreed to give up millions of dollars in future earnings from the Galaxy to realise that dream.
