Tendulkar out of Hamilton match

India's star batsman Sachin Tendulkar has been ruled out of today's fourth one-day cricket international against New Zealand in Hamilton because of an abdominal injury.

The 35-year-old was struck in the stomach by an Iain O'Brien delivery during the second one-day international last Friday in Wellington, and batted with discomfort during the third match in Christchurch two days later.

Tendulkar was forced to retire hurt on Sunday having made 163 in leading India to a mammoth 392 for four and eventual 58-run victory to take a 2-nil series lead.

India team officials say a scan had shown swelling and bruising and he'll be monitored ahead of the final match in Auckland on Saturday.
