Man U qualify for Champions League quarter-finals

Defending champions Manchester United along with former winners Porto and Barcelona have qualified for the quarter-finals of European football's Champions League.

Manchester United beat Inter Milan 2-nil at Old Trafford, Barcelona beat Lyon 5-2, and Porto and Atletico Madrid finished nil-all with the Portugese going through on the away goals rule.

Arsenal got through after a 7-6 penalty shoot-out win over Roma.

On Wednesday Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Liverpool and Villarreal qualified for the last eight in this most prestigious and richest club tournament in the world.

Meanwhile Blackburn have moved out of the relegation zone of the English Premiership after a 2-1 victory over Fulham.
