Lewis predicts good things for Haumono

The top Australian boxing trainer Johnny Lewis predicts his emerging heavyweight, Solomon Haumono, will produce a better effort in his next fight.

The former rugby league player barely preserved his unbeaten record with a draw in a poor performance against Queensland veteran Colin Wilson this week.

Haumono, who now has a record of 15 wins and a draw, admits it was a poor performance.

Jonny Lewis, Australia's most successful all-time trainer, says

Haumono was too slow and not persistent enough early in the fight.

He says one thing he knows from that fight is Haumono will be a lot better next time.
