Motorcycling's governing body has announced the 2009 Hungarian Grand Prix has been cancelled and will not be replaced.
The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) says the September the 20th race would be rescheduled on next year's calendar with only 17 rounds this season.
Local organisers asked promoters Dorna for the race to be postponed due to delays in construction and the global financial situation.
