The Indian cricketers Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar have shot up the latest ICC one-day palyer rankings after strong batting performances in the recent series in New Zealand.

Sehwag has jumped nine places to sixth position in the rankings, which is still headed by Indian captain M.S. Dhoni.

Tendulkar has moved up eight places to 13th spot.

However the news isn't so good for New Zealand captain Daniel Vettor, who has fallen in the bowling rankings from first to fifth.

Vettori's drop has benefitted Sri Lanka fast bowler Nuwan Kulasekara, who takes over top spot for the first time in his career.
