New Zealand schedule second match in Thailand

6:14 pm on 17 March 2009

New Zealand Football has added a match against Thailand A to it's outheast Asian tour after the planned game against Indonesia was cancelled because of security reasons.

Chief executive Michael Glading says New Zealand will play the full Thailand side in Bangkok on March 28 then Thailand A three days later.

Glading says less time spent travelling means more time together and with players spread far and wide, making the most of these FIFA windows is absolutely crucial.

New Zealand had originally agreed to play the Indonesians at Jakarta on April 1 but the game was scratched because Indonesia were worried that it coincided with local elections.

The tour is part of the All Whites' buildup for this year's Confederations Cup and World Cup playoffs.
