White Ferns beat india

New Zealand's beaten India by five wickets at the women's cricket World Cup in Sydney with two overs and two balls to spare.

The White Ferns lost the toss and allowed India to recover from 126 for six to 207 all out in the 50th over.

But they started the run chase condfidently and reached 78 before captain Haidee Tiffin was out for 23 and the runs kept flowing until Kate Pulford was out for 73 with the score on 109.

India stayed in the game though, taking three wickets and slowing the run rate until Suzie Bates and Nicola Browne accelerated it during the batting power play with 35 runs off 38 balls.

Bates finished 47 not out and Browne 16.
