The English county cricket side Leicestershire have completed the signing of New Zealand's Iain O'Brien as an overseas player for next season.

The 32-year-old paceman will complete the Black Caps three-Test series against India before joining up with his new team-mates at Grace Road.

O'Brien will arrive at Leicestershire on Monday 13 April, only two days before their opening County Championship match against Northamptonshire.

He has played 14 Tests and enjoyed his best bowling figures in his last appearance for the Black Caps, taking 6 for 75 against West Indies.

Leicestershire chief executive David Smith says he'll continue to look for Kiwi players to represent the club.

He says having played club cricket in New Zealand for a couple of years, he believes they can bring other assets to the club.
