The Dunedin student Suzie Bates helped set up a repeat of the 1993 women's World Cup cricket final with New Zealand to play England in the decider in Sydney on Sunday.
Bates, who has also represented New Zealand at basketball, played one of the greatest innings in women's ODI history, hitting six sixes and 19 fours in an innings of 168 off just 105 balls.
New Zealand scored 373 for 7 before going on to beat Pakistan by 223 runs to qualify for the final.
Captain Haidee Tiffen also scored her maiden ODI century.
Australia beat England by 8 wickets to hand the English their first loss of the tournament, but it wasn't enough to prevent them from making the final.
