Manchester City has qualfied for the quarter-finals of European football's Eufa Cup after beating Aalborg 4-3 on penalities in Denmark.
City had protected its 2-0 first leg lead until the late in the match.
The holders Zenit St Petersburg have been knocked out though.
Afterr losing the first leg to Udinese in Italy the Russian side could manage only a 1-nil at home to bow out 2-1 on aggregate.
Others to qualfy for the May final are Hamburg SV , Dynamo Kiev, Shakhtar Donetsk Paris St Germain, Werder Bremen and Olympique Marseille .
