White Ferns feeling confident ahead of world cup showdown

8:12 am on 22 March 2009

The New Zealand women's cricket team have the momentum of back to back wins as they prepare to face England in the one day world cup final in Sydney today.

White Fern Suzie Bates says although their confidence is high after beating India and thrashing Pakistan they know England will be a much tougher opponent.

Bates says the girls know they're up for a huge challenge after losing to England earlier in the tournament, but she says if they can form partnerships and put some big runs on, they've got the bowling attack to finish it off.

The world cup final starts at noon.
