Lance Armstrong is planning to ride in the Tour of Italy in May even though his broken collarbone is more serious than first thought.
The seven-time Tour of France champion says this week's crash in Spain is the the biggest setback he's ever had in his cycling career.
But Armstrong says a shattered collarbone that will need metal plate is a lot better than battling cancer and won't change his plans for the Tour of Italy starting on May 9.
Nor will it compromise his training for his return to the Tour of France in July.
Armstong's hoping to recover more quickly than the typical four to six weeks and says it's frustrating because he was just starting to get into top shape.
