The New Zealand cyclist Alsion Shanks will ride off for gold in the individual pursuit at the World Track Championships in Poland.
Shanks was second fastest in qualifying more than a second and a half slower than Wendy Houvenaghel of Britain.
The ride off is later this morning, along with the men's and women's points races.
