The Trans-Tasman Netball League has approved the Northern Mystics application for a 'special dispensation' for Cathrine Latu to play as a local in this year's ANZ Championship.

The dispensation was granted to the Mystics following the International Netball Federation's ruling to decline an application to change her current eligibility status.

23-year-old Latu, played for Samoa in the last World Championship, but has indicated that her playing future rests in New Zealand only.

The Northern Mystics first game of the season will be against last years' ANZ Championship runners up Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic on April 6th.
