Ramesh Patel takes up new position in hockey

Hockey New Zealand has restructured its administraion with chief executive Ramesh Patel taking up a new position of Hockey Director.

Hockey New Zealand had undertaken a review which identified that development of hockey in New Zealand required greater emphasis on the management of people, programmes and activities associated with the playing, coaching and development of the game.

As a result a new senior position of Hockey Director has been established to report the Chief Executive.

After 20 successful years at the helm of Hockey New Zealand, Patel had expressed his desire to take a new career direction and was selecetd for the new position.

The search for a new Chief Executive is now underway.
