NZ cricketers on top after three days of second Test

The New Zealand cricketers are on top after three days of the second Test against India in Napier.

The tourists are 47 for one in their second innings after they were forced to follow-on.

That leaves them still 267 runs behind New Zealand's first innings of 619 for nine.

Earlier India were dismissed in their first innings for 305 with Rahul Dravid top scoring with 83, while VVS Laxman made 76 and Sachin Tendulkar 49.

Chris Martin took three wickets for 89, while Iain O'Brien, Jeetan Patel and Dan Vettori took two each.

In the second innings Patel trapped Virender Sehwag lbw for 22.

India won the first match of the three-Test series by 10 wickets.
