The young Auckland batsman Jeet Raval has posted the third highest score for the province in just his third first class cricket match, making 256 against Central Districts in a match that is simply a rehearsal for the State Championship final.
Auckland declared at 662 for six at Eden Park with Gareth Hopkins and Colin de Grandhomme also scoring centuries.
