Ryder's double century sees him ranked New Zealand's best batsman

Jesse Ryder's double century in the second cricket test against India in Napier has seen move up twelve places on the international batting rankings to be the highest placed New Zealander in 30th spot.

Ross Taylor's moved up eight places to 32nd spot while Brendon McCullum has jumped three places to 34th.

The table is still headed by Shivnarine Chanderpaul of the West Indies, with Pakistan captain Younus Khan second and Sri Lanka skipper Kumar Sangakkara third.

Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralidaran remains number on on the test bowling list, with South Africa's Dale Steyn in second spot and Mitchell Johnson of Australia third.

Black Caps skipper Dan Vettori is in 12th spot.
