Razzaq and Naved ask Pakistan to lift ban

6:37 am on 1 April 2009

Allrounder Abdul Razzaq and pace bowler Rana Naved have become the latest banned players to ask the Pakistan Cricket Board to reconsider allowing them to play for the national team.

They and several other players are banned because they have had contracts with the unofficial Indian Cricket League.

Their plea followed a request from banned senior batsman Mohammad Yousuf last week to be reconsidered for national selection.

Then PCB's chief operating officer Saleem Altaf sys the board is seeking legal advice and doesn't know if the ICL has released the players.
