Turner says batsmen will be mentally stronger in third test

The convenor of New Zealand Cricket selectors Glenn Turner says after holding India to a draw in Napier, the Black Caps squad will be stronger mentally going into Friday's series decider in Wellington.

The tourists lead the three match series one-nil after winning the opening test in Hamilton, but Turner says despite being kept in the field for the final two days of the Napier test, there were plenty of positive signs for the Black Caps going into the must win clash at the Basin Reserve.

He says a really good work out helps with making players tougher and won't have done them any harm.
