The world tennis number two Roger Federer has reached the semi-finals of the ATP Masters 1000 hardcourt tournament in Miami, Florida, beating Andy Roddick 6-3 4-6 6-4.
The Swiss second seed broke the fifth-seeded American's serve to take the deciding set and now plays the third-seeded Serbian Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals, after Djokovic beat France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in straight sets.
