Liverpool at top of Premiership

Liverpool are the new leaders in the English premier league football competition after beating Fulham 1-0 this morning. They are two points clear of Manchester United but United have two games in hand.

Liverpool's goal to Yossi Benayoun came two minutes in to stoppage time.

In other games Chelsea dented Alan Shearer's hopes of reviving Newcastle with a 2-0 win, Bolton beat Middlesbrough 4-1, Arsenal beat Manchester City 2-0, West Ham kept Sunderland in potential relegation trouble with a 2-0 win, Stoke beat bottom placed West Bromich 2-0, Blackburn moved a little futher away from relegation fears with a 2-1 win over Tottenham while relegation threatened Hull and Portsmouth both gained a valuable point in a nil all draw.
