The New Zealand golfer Tim Wilkinson was even par through 12 holes at the weather-hit Houston Open when darkness fell and third-round play was suspended.
Wilkinson's six behind the American leader Bo Van Pelt . who's one ahead of a group of four players including former champion Fred Couples, who'd completed 10 holes and England's Paul Casey who's through eight.
Only six of the 79 players who made the cut finished the third round, which will be completed early tomorrow before the final round.
The world number two Phil Mickelson and triple champion Vijay Singh were among those who missed the cut after coming back early to complete their second rounds.
