Grief counselling will be offered to shattered players and officials coming to grips with the death of the Brumbies rugby forward Shawn Mackay.
26 year old McKay passed away in a Durban hospital early yesterday afternoon and his teammates didn't find out until they returned to Sydney.
McKay appeared to be recovering well from spinal surgery after sustaining multiple injuries when he was hit by an armed response car outside a Durban night club nine days ago.
But his condition deteriorated rapidly after he picked up a blood infection, and he suffered a cardiac arrest.
