The controversial swimmer Nick D'Arcy has been kicked off the Australian swimming team for the 2009 world championships in Rome.
D'Arcy was convicted for his attack on former swimmer Simon Cowley following the 2008 Australia Olympic trials.
He received a suspended sentence of just over 14 months and was booted off the Beijing Olympics team, after the Australian Olympic Committee deemed he had breached the team code of conduct.
