Moles wants to be part of NZ cricket selection panel

The New Zealand cricket coach Andy Moles wants to be part of the national selection panel, although he's adamant it's not because of any disagreement over selection policy.

When Moles was appointed to the role in Novemeber he didn't want to be part of the panel, made up of former internationals Glenn Turner, John Wright and Dion Nash.

But for the first time in over a decade the New Zealand cricketers failed to win a test this summer and while Moles believes the best eleven players were selected he wants more input.

He's satisfied his and skipper Dan Vettori's views were taken into account but says he will be talking with New Zeland Cricket about being added to the panel when he reports back on the season.
