Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard's in doubt for this week's Champions League quarter-final return leg against Chelsea, after undergoing a scan on a troublesome groin injury.
Gerrard was sent for the scan by Liverpool's medical staff after he arrived for training following the 3-1 home defeat by Chelsea at Anfield.
He missed Liverpool's 4-0 Premier League win over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday and may miss the Chelsea game at Stamford Bridge too.
Gerrard was troubled by the groin problem earlier in the season and it reappeared during last week's 1-0 win at Fulham.
