The Liverpool football club Rafael Benitez says he may risk his injured captain Steven Gerrard for Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final, second leg at Chelsea.
Gerrard sat out Liverpool's 4-0 Premier League victory over Blackburn Rovers on the weekend with a groin injury but Benitez is hopeful he can return as Liverpool attempt to overturn a 3-1 deficit at Stamford Bridge.
Benitez says the talismanic captain will have one more day of training and then they will see how he feels.
The Spanish manager added that it makes a difference if Gerrard plays and clearly he is needed as he is a key player for the Reds.
