Semi-final place for King-Turner

Dan King-Turner has won through to the singles semi-finals at the ITF Futures Tournament in Seogwipo, Korea, with a tough 6-7 6-3 7-5 win over Korean Dylan Seong-Kwan Kim.

King-Turner now faces another Korean opponent in the semi-final, Yong-Bun Seo.

King-Turner has already won an ASB Pro Circuit singles title in Wellington this year, as well as three doubles titles with GD Jones. This is his second semi-final appearance in singles during the past month.

Meanwhile, in Shepparton Victoria, the NZ Junior Davis Cup Team is through to the quarters of the Asia Oceania tournament. A 3-0 victory over a strong Chinese outfit has seen them through to this round which places them one win away from a place in the world final of the event.

This will be played in Mexico during October, In the quarter-finals the team, which is captained by former touring pro Alistair Hunt, will tackle India.
