Defending Indycar champion Scott Dixon has qualified 6th for tomorrow's Grand Prix of Long Beach, the second round of the Championship.
Dixon failed to finish the first round and will be keen for points on the street circuit.
Will Power grabbed pole position, while Helio Castroneves was 8th fastest in what is his first race in six months after being acquitted in a seven-week tax trial.
