The Warriors got their NRL campaign back on track with Stacey Jones kicking a field goal in golden point extra time to steer his side to a 17-16 win over the Sydney Roosters in Auckland.
The win leaves the Warriors eighth on six points with South Sydney and Melbourne, who play Wests Tigers tonight.
The Roosters led 16-0 at the break but coach Ivan Cleary says the 32-year-old halfback Jones turned it on the second half, inspiring the resurgence with a try then putting up bombs for the other two.
Later the Bulldogs ran in nine tries to crush Parramatta 48-18, leaving the Eels econd to last.
Cronulla are last after a 34-10 loss to North Queensland.
