Rafael Nadal has become the first man to win 5 successive Monte Carlo Masters tennis titles, with a 3 set victory over Novak Djokovic.
The world number one had to dig deep to beat the third seed 6-3 2-6 6-1, dropping a set for the first time since his 2006 final against Roger Federer.
It was an emotional win for Nadal at one of his favourite venues.
