Braid's move to Wales up in the air

The move by former All Blacks flanker Daniel Braid to Welsh club the Llanelli Scarlets could be up in the air after he ruptured his achilles tendon playing for the Queensland Reds in the weekends Super 14 match against the South African side the Lions in Brisbane.

Braid underwent surgery yesterday and was due to join the Welsh club on a three deal in June however the minimum recovery time for the injury is six months.

His move to the U.K. was subject to gaining a work permit and a medical clearance.
