The Onehunga pair of Dan Delaney and Chris Le Lievre have won the national club pairs bowls champs at the Frankton Junction indoor rink.
They were unbeaten through the two days of competition, which had been transferred from the outdoor rinks in Rotorua to Frankton Junction because of the weather.
While Delaney and Le Lievre had a clear cut win in the men's championships, the women's title went to the final end, with Dot Palmer and skip, Robyn Martin of Taupo snatching a 14 -13 win in their last match.
Going into the fifth and final round, virtually any of the six-combination field could have won the title, with four combinations eventually finishing equal, and the title being decided on points differential.
