Lowe back to Manly, this time he's in charge

Updated at 2:20pm on 27 November 2009

The former Kiwis coach Graham Lowe has been appointed CEO of his old National Rugby League club Manly.

Lowe coached Manly for two years when they were the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in the old New South Wales Rugby League from 1990 as well as the Queensland State of Origin side, becoming the first non-Australian to take charge in the inter-state showpiece.

He went on to coach North Queensland in 1996 before moving back to Auckland, becoming involved in the Warriors as a co-owner and penning newspaper opinion columns on league.

Lowe also coached in England with Wigan, winning the Challenge Cup twice, and was in charge of the New Zealand Test side between 1983 and 1986.
