7:36 am on 23 April 2009

The Auckland City football side's on the way to Solomon Islands to play Koloale FC in the first leg of their O-League final on Saturday afternoon.

The second leg's in Auckland on Sunday week with the US$500,000 playoff spot at December's FIFA Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates at stake.

Koloale is the second Solomon Island side in two years to have a chance to represent Oceania after Kossa FC lost last year to Waitakere United on aggregate .

City's coach Paul Posa says United's 3-1 defeat in the opening game shows how hard it is to win in the heat of Honiara, where a crowd of 20,000 is expected.
