Steel look to break Aussie drought

8:38 am on 25 April 2009

The Southern Steel's chances of becoming the first New Zealand team to win in Australia in netball's trans-Tasman championship have been boosted by the return of veterans Donna Wilkens and Adine Wilson.

The Steel play the unbeaten Vixens in Melbourne today after winning two of their three games.

Their coach Robyn Broughton says Wilkens is returning to fitness and form at goal attack after breaking an arm.

Broughton says Wilkens combined really well with the former Silver Ferns captain Wilson in their home win over the Canterbury Tactix.

And she says Wilson's right at home in midcourt after taking maternity leave.
