Steel coach wary of Sharelle McMahon

The Southern Steel know how it feels to beat the Melbourne Vixens in the trans-Tasman netball championship but not what it's like to do it in Melbourne, which they're hoping to change today.

And while the Steel had a 47-46 win at home last year their coach Robyn Broughton concedes the Vixens' shooter Sharelle McMahon appeared to be slowed by the injury that later forced her out of Australia's drawn series with New Zealand.

McMahon's side has won all three matches so far this season and Broughton says the Australian captain is showing no ill effects from her knee operation and gets into gaps as skilfully as ever.

The Steel have won two of their three matches.
