8:41 am on 25 April 2009

The New Zealand batsmen Jesse Ryder and Ross Taylor both got into double figures but their Indian Premier League cricket team, the Bangalore Royal Challengers, lost by seven wickets to the Kings Eleven Punjab in Durban.

Ryder's 32 and Taylor's 35 added to Jacques Kallis's top score for Bangalore of 62 but their total of 168 was overhauled by Punjab in the 20th and final over, posting 173 for three and winning with Yuvraj Singh's lone six of his 30-run innings.

It's the first win in three matches for Punjab while Bangalore have now won just one of four and are second-bottom.

In Dubai the Australian cricketers have easily won the second one day international against Pakistan by six wickets.
