Youngest womens finalists square off in amateur final

5:59 am on 28 April 2009

The two babies of the field will square off in today's 36-hole final at the NZ womens amateur golf championships in Auckland.

12 year old Lydio Ko and 14 year old Cecilia Cho know each other well, but this will be the first meeting between the pair who are the current North and South Island champions.

Visiting players Nicol van Wyk from South Africa and Australia's Matt Jager will contest the mens final at Titirangi after only one New Zealander made the last four.

Jager won the last four holes of his semi-final against Auckland's Ben Wallace to win 2 up.
