7:48 am on 28 April 2009

The Australian cricketers have taken a 2-1 lead in their one-day international series against Pakistan thanks to a remarkable all round performance by their acting captain Michael Clarke in Abu Dhabi.

Clarke saved his side's batting effort with 66 in their 198 for 7, then took 3 wickets for 15 with his finger spinners to help send Pakistan crashing to 171 all out.

Pakistan lost all 10 wickets for 76.

Fast bowler Brett Lee will be joining the tourists soon and might play in the final two games of the series.
