Titans' White facing three match ban

6:23 am on 29 April 2009

The Gold Coast Titans prop Matthew White is facing a minimum three match ban after receiving the highest graded dangerous contact charge this National Rugby League season.

White received a grade three charge following the match video review of a "crusher" tackle on Penrith's fullback Lachlan Coote..

Coote managed to play the ball afterwards but was then taken from the field with back spasms during the Panthers' 34-20 win and was still in pain after last night's match.

Afterwards White said the contact with Coote's head was accidental and the tackle wasn't as bad as it looked.

He faces a three match ban with an early guilty or four matches if the judiciary finds him guilty.
