Cameron worried about new 'super-suits'

The former New Zealand swim coach Jan Cameron is worried technology is superceding the skill of individual swimmers.

The issue of 'super suits' is back in the headlines after swimmers at the French Championships smashed a series of world records wearing a new suit by Italian brand Jaked.

Cameron, now General Manager for Performance and Pathways, says it's getting to the point where the suits seem more important than the swimmers.

Swimming's governing body FINA is due to come back with its decision on the legality of all the new bodysuits within the next fortnight.

Last year FINA forced Speedo to make it's LZR (laser) bodysuit available to all swimmers at the Beijing Olympics after it was deemed the suits had such a profound influence on performance.
