The New Zealand tennis number 2 Rubin Statham has won his first Futures singles title with a victory at Bundaberg, Queensland.
Statham seeded fifth beat the top seed, third seed and then the fourth seed, Greg Jones of Australia in 3 sets, in successive matches for the title.
He will now play the Futures event at Ipswich, Queensland this week.
